With mayhem and chaos raging throughout the Middle East, today Israel floats like a rudderless ship heading for stormy seas and ultimately the jagged rocks. Israel has never been in greater need of quality leaders and ironically, has never been more lacking in leadership. We are in desperate need of new blood in politics and political parties (across the political spectrum). We need better people, much better in the Knesset. Sadly there are few volunteers.
Recently I have become acquainted with Erel Margalit. Yes, I realise that during last year’s leadership campaign, I wrote him off as just another rich guy, trying to buy his way into power. I was wrong!
Erel Margalit’s achievements in venture capital are impressive to say the least however, it is his achievements in social action that really impress me. Erel Margalit and his team at Jerusalem Venture Partners; have performed small miracles in Jerusalem. He has developed a model which manages to effectively fuse commercial entrepreneurship with social action.
It is a model which has worked well and benefitted thousands in our capital city, and one which more importantly can and should be roles out across the country.
There is much that Erel Margalit has to offer his country! So, take a good look at Erel Margalit and then help him make it to the Knesset. We desperately need him and others like him; actively involved in running our country.
We need people to get involved! We need people who know how to get things done. At a time when our so called leaders can only pander to the lowest common denominator in a cynical attempt to promote self interest, we need people who understand what true leadership is. Take a look at Erel Margalit…
